About Me:

This is the part where I get to exaggerate facts and let everyone know what an accomplished person I am, and why I feel that I'm deserving of my very own place on the World Wide Web! Just kidding. I'll give it to you as straightforward as I possibly can without sounding too self-righteous or too self-loathing...we'll just mix a little bit of each in here, okay?

My name is Daniel Papp. I am a soldier in the U.S. Army, currently stationed at Ft. Drum NY (worry not, all you activists/pacifists/Canadians, I'll have a forum up soon where you can tell me how wrong I am for serving my country). I work on the avionics, electronics, and the armament systems for the Kiowa scout helicopter. Well, that is my job on contract, anyway. Since the Army found out that I had somewhat of a clue as far as network administration went, I assumed the role of IMO(information management officer) which is another term for network administrator. I manage over 150 computers at work, and Although it can be stressfull at times, I couldn't have asked for a better job.

Even though serving in the army is a full-time job, I still have many hobbies and interests outside of the life of a soldier. I was practically born with a guitar in my hand. I have been playing guitar since I was playing ON it (using the backside of the guitar as a slide) at 6 years old. I love playing music as well as listening to it. I have an immense music library.

Among other things, I also like to develop stuff like this website in my extremely limited spare time. I have a passion for information technology, though I still have much to learn in this field. Maybe one day I'll be able to do this for a living (if you are an employer, please stop laughing)!

Well, I really don't feel like telling you anything else. If you want to know more about me, I suggest looking me up the next time you are around the Fort Drum area of New York.
